Australia’s most breathtaking horticultural designs were crowned at the 2023 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in March this year. Marking the Show’s 26th iteration, the awards recognised some of the country’s best garden and floral experts and their enchanting works that were showcased throughout Carlton Gardens and the world-heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building over the three-day event.
We were excited to supply pool tiles for two show gardens this year including Vila Di Lusso designed by Invidia Landscapes and Aurum designed by Mint Landscape Design. Both show-gardens impressed judges, winning a host of awards including Silver and Gold Show Garden Awards.
Vila Di Lusso by Invidia Landscapes – With Marble & More in Verde Alpi Ceramic Pool Tiles
Named “Villa di lusso” (a.k.a ‘Luxurious Villa’), this garden drew inspiration from the Mediterranean and presents a contemporary and elegant style.
Stepping up through a curved archway into a luxurious sleek structure, visitors take in the views of the pool and unique landscaped garden.
Separate zones are connected seamlessly together to immerse them in each entertaining space. Rustic and modern materials work together adding layers of luxury to this harmonic outdoor space. The pool is the showstopper, featuring the newly launched Marble & More pool tiles made in Germany by Argob Buchtal. As with all Agrob Buchtal Mosaic Pool tiles, they have Hytect anti-bacterial easy clean surface technology, making the tiles thoroughly practical as well as beautiful,

Aurum by Mint Design – With Amano in Cream Pool tiles
“Aurum” (latin for gold) is an exploration of form, materials, texture, pattern and colour in the landscape.
Much like the modern Hollywood style, “Aurum” is unashamedly hedonistic and glamorous yet grounded in nature. The design weaves elements of modernist and art deco philosophy together and reinterprets them using contemporary design principles.
The round pool feature is tiled in Amano Cream mosaic, giving the water a desirable light blue colour. The Amano series, with the undulating surface and tonal shades, is the perfect choice for this layered luxurious landscape.
