KLAY Tiles and Façades is the proud Australian agent for German manufacturer Agrob Buchtal including the range of Agrob Buchtal Ceramic Façade Systems. Commencing operations in 1755, Agrob Buchtal is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of high quality ceramic building products in the world. With 50 years of experience in façade engineering, Agrob Buchtal has become a world leader in the manufacture and supply of high quality Stoneware Ceramic Panels for building façades and various civil infrastructure applications.
The rear-ventilated curtain wall ceramic façade systems by Agrob Buchtal provide an unparalleled mechanically fixed solution for building facades and civil infrastructure projects. The systems offer a cost effective, highly durable, non-combustible maintenance free cladding which is suitable for both new builds and renovations. The systems are certified as completely non-combustible under AS1530.1. The Agrob Buchtal Ceramic Façade System comprises the three main systems known as KeraTwin®, KeraShape® and KerAion®.
All three systems are manufactured using an advanced extrusion process and include Agrob Buchtal’s revolutionary Hytect surface technology. The Hytect coating which utilises titanium dioxide as the raw ingredient for a photo-catalytic physical reaction, releases dissolved oxygen at the surface of the ceramic material for its lifetime, which provides a unique material that is self-cleaning, anti-graffiti, anti-bacterial and breaks down airborne industrial pollutants.
- The material is completely non-combustible being manufactured at temperatures of about 1260°C. The material has been tested by the CSIRO and is non-combustible under AS1530.1
- The Hytect coating which utilises titanium dioxide as the raw ingredient for a photo-catalytic physical reaction, provides a maintenance fee, self-cleaning, anti-graffiti & anti-bacterial surface ensuring a long lasting without the need for expensive and onerous maintenance requirements
- The ceramic facades are maintenance free, carry generous credible warranty periods with an expected design life well in excess of 50 years
- Completely light and colour-fast with a large range of surface textures and colours, including matt, stain matt and gloss finishes, stone, concrete, timber and metallic surface finishes
- An array of formats varying from 150-600mm panel heights with panel lengths completely tailored to each project in 1mm increments up to a maximum of 1800mm lengths
- Unlimited application possibilities due to a large range of mechanical fixing options, accommodating both horizontal, vertical and overhead solutions, including a range of conventional bond patterns
- A range of standard details for use by architects and engineers including a large range of options to finish off external building corners
- Matching 3-dimensional ceramic baguette materials for creating visually attractive screens
- Suitable for both refurbishment and new buildings
